***WE ARE OPEN***
We have been officially re-opened for walk-in business after the COVID-19 shelter-at-home order was lifted, since July 1, 2020! Please note the following new hours, which are subject to change due to the unique pandemic situation. We suggest that if you’re traveling from out of town, to call and confirm that we are open first.
NEW, CURRENT HOURS AS OF JULY 1, 2020:
Tuesday through Saturday: 12pm to 5pm
Sunday / Monday: CLOSED
Things to know before you visit us:
Face masks: As of September 1, 2021, face masks are required to enter the store.
Physical Distancing: Please maintain a six-foot physical distance whenever possible while waiting in line or in the store.
Playing Our Guitars: We are requesting the amount of guitars played during each visit be limited, as we take time to clean each guitar after use. We do this to take care of the instruments and to make sure that our customers can enjoy a comfortable playing experience in our shop.
Entering Our Store: Our front, main door is unlocked and open, so come on in! We respectfully ask that you please wear a face mask as per the local health mandate.
Limited Staff: We have limited staff; only Lightning Joe, Marelene, Joseph, Joey, and Savanna have returned to work. We ask that you please be patient as we are assisting everyone and that you may experience a longer wait than usual to have a guitar brought down, or for product/parts to be brought out from behind the counter.
Repairs and Labor: Repairs and restrings often cannot be done on the fly at this time. Please drop off your instrument and we will get your name and number and call you when they are ready. Typical wait time for restrings and cleanings is one business day or less, and repairs can take anywhere from one to seven business days, depending on the work needing to be done (most repairs can be completed within three business days). Some more extensive repairs will require more time to complete.
Browsing: We are happy to allow browsing in-store.
Special Orders & Estimated Wait Times for Products: There is a global surge of demand for music products due to the pandemic. Since people are spending more time at home than ever before (at least in recent history), there are many more people looking for music products than usual. However, nearly all manufacturers, product distributors, and warehouses are operating with significantly lower numbers of staff and are struggling to keep up with the demand. Overall, demand is SUPER HIGH and supply is REALLY LOW. This causes much difficulty with obtaining products quickly for our customers, and also makes it hard for us or for manufacturers to forecast reliable ETA’s for incoming products. We are doing our best to maintain a strong and thorough inventory for you all, but please be patient and understanding of this situation if a product is taking longer than usual to arrive in our store. We have shipments arriving every day –A LOT of shipments every day– but things are still taking more time than usual to get here.
Customer Appreciation: The monumental amount of support we have seen during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place order, and as we progress through the economic recovery, has been incredibly encouraging. We appreciate all of our customers and are lucky to continue to serve you all in this changing environment. Many of our vendors are still facing challenges keeping up with manufacturing and shipping during this strange era, so please bear with us as we navigate these unforeseen waters to try to keep our shelves stocked for all your musical needs. We will all get through this together!
