COVID-19

*REOPENING UPDATE*

*UPDATE*

As many of you know, we’re a small family owned and operated shop. We’ve been in business for almost 40 years and we want to continue to serve you. This quarantine has made things difficult and we’re constantly adjusting and brainstorming how we can still be a community staple for your musical needs. We’re outlining a few things below to help answer any questions you may have on what we can do to still function as a business and still provide product for you:

•firstly, if you know what you need, send us a message or email info@lightningjoes.com (do not call the store)
•if you are unsure what you need, send us a message or email and we can help you
•we will let you know if what you need is in stock and order anything that is still available to us if necessary
•we will schedule a time for you to meet us at the shop where we will have everything ready for you to pick up
•knock on the front door (not the corner door) and we will bring you your order

Here are a few other notes and things to consider:

•for your safety and ours, we will not be letting anyone in our doors
•no cash transactions – debit/credit, PayPal or Venmo only
•for protection all around, we will not be able to perform any guitar services or repairs during this time
•we are working while caring for our family, so please be patient if we cannot reply to messages/emails/phone calls right away

We are kindly asking for you to consider purchasing your musical needs through us instead of big box stores online so we can reopen our doors and continue to serve our community. Our Reverb shop is open and you can find the link to it in our Instagram profile (or search for Lightning Joe’s Reverb on Google) and we have a small list of instruments on the website in our “shop” section. Please note that we have over 1,600 instruments alone (not including amplifiers, accessories, parts, strings, etc)… we are unable to list our full inventory online at this time.

Thank you for your continued support! Our families truly appreciate you all! Please share with your musical community!

Notice regarding COVID-19:

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the need to temporarily close our doors. As we’re sure you’ve all heard, the Emergency Services Director for San Luis Obispo County has issued a mandatory Shelter-at-Home order beginning Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 5pm. Because of this order, all non-essential businesses, including ours, cannot remain open. This is something that will impact us greatly. If you would like to support us during our closure, and you are able, you can purchase a gift certificate to use at a later date. Please either email us or send us a message on Instagram or Facebook to make that arrangement. We will continue to check emails and messages during this closure, and update you all as new information becomes available. If you need anything musical to tide you over for the next who-knows-how-many-weeks, we can make a special meetup arrangement. Please contact us for more information. Our customers will be greatly missed during this time, but we will be back after this passes! We wish all the best and health to you and your families.
